Volunteers – Join the Race for the Wild Team!

Help make Race for the Wild a success by volunteering on Sunday 27 June 2027 and supporting Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

This exciting 13km road race starts at People's Park, St Helier, at 9.00am, before taking runners on a scenic journey to the finish line at Jersey Zoo, Trinity. Our volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the event is safe, enjoyable and well organised for every participant.

You can choose to volunteer in either St Helier or Trinity:

• St Helier: Volunteers will walk or cycle to their allocated marshal point.
• Trinity: Volunteers will check in at Jersey Zoo before being transported to their allocated location on the course.

Volunteer roles

• Course Marshals – Located at key junctions around the course, helping to guide runners safely along the route.
  
• Water Station Team – Positioned at designated points on the course, helping keep runners hydrated.
  
• Manual Time Keepers – Based at the finish line, assisting with recording finish times as a reliable backup to chip timing.

As a thank you, all volunteers will receive:

• Transport from Jersey Zoo to your volunteer location (where applicable)
• Free entry to Jersey Zoo on Sunday 27 June 2027
• A complimentary hot drink and pastry at Jersey Zoo
• 15% off entry to the 2028 Race for the Wild
