  • Minimising low-level disruption
  • Self-regulation and well-being
  • Preparedness
  • Getting stuff out. Putting stuff away and other routines.

Facilitator: Being Musical's Lead Learning Specialist Louisa Roberts

"My experience as a music teacher in an SEMH school and in mainstream primary and secondary schools for over 15 years has taught me the importance of building relationships in managing classroom behaviour. I'm training to be a counsellor and it is this work and my involvement with the new Lead Well initiative from Art of Brilliance and the Trauma Informed Singing pilot with Music for Good and Sing Up which has led me to devise this new online workshop. Its purpose is to help self-awareness, self-regulation and well-being in supporting relational practice in the performing arts classroom.

I do hope you will join us and consider the exciting possibilities we have in helping children and young people to be the best versions of themselves. (My favourite snack is a cheesy oatcake and please be ready to talk about yours ☺️)

Being Musical Workshops are a series of fun, interactive online live global workshops specifically aimed at performing arts teachers working in a whole class context with children and young people.
