Over the past 29 years Carymoor Environmental Trust has transformed 80 acres of a capped landfill site into an incredible nature reserve with meadows, woodland and wetlands.

Funded by Somerset Wildlife Trust, this session will give insight into Carymoor’s current project to create new areas of wildflower meadow on their nature reserve. The project aims to provide more flowers for pollinators and to improve the connectivity on the Carymoor nature reserve. Led by Neil Gemmell, Caymoor’s Community Ranger, the day will involve a practical opportunity to get involved in the project, helping to plant wildflower plug plants, broadcast seed and more.

Tickets are free but must be booked in advance.
Please book a wheelchair ticket to reserve an all-terrain mobility scooter.
There will be a maximum of 20 people on this event.
 
Useful Information

This event will run from 10am to 1pm.
We will provide refreshments upon arrival and you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch to eat on the reserve after the event.
 
The event will run whatever the weather so please do come prepared for whatever the British weather may throw at us.  Long trousers and enclosed shoes are recommended as there are ticks on the site.
