Carymoor Environmental Trust, Castle Cary, United Kingdom
Over the past 29 years Carymoor Environmental Trust has transformed 80 acres of a capped landfill site into an incredible nature reserve with meadows, woodland and wetlands.
Funded by Somerset Wildlife Trust, this session will give insight into how Carymoor has created wildflower meadows in a variety of ways. Join Neil Gemmell, Carymoor’s Community Ranger, on a tour of the site to take in the different meadows and the different approaches that have been used over the years to turn an ex-landfill site into a wonderful site for nature.
