“Do not be anxious about anything,” Paul urges us but when life gets too busy and too complicated and we find ourselves battling with stress, it isn’t always easy to hear God’s voice saying, “Be still”.  It is then that we most need to take time out and take hold of the peace that Jesus holds out to us.

We will begin this day by looking at the causes of stress before sharing some ideas for freeing ourselves up from anxieties.  After lunch there will be time for individual reflection, using helpful verses from the Bible, as well as opportunity to receive personal prayer.

Margaret is a church leader in Suffolk and a trained counsellor who has supported a number of clients with anxiety issues.  As a volunteer, she assists a Christian counselling charity in providing training in aspects of pastoral care.

BY ROAD - Mulberry House is situated on the A414 at High Ongar, Essex. If you are travelling from the M11, exit at junction 7 and follow the A414 towards Chelmsford. Remaining on the A414 pass over three mini roundabouts. The House is on the right, 0.6 miles past the "Four Wantz" roundabout (BP Service Station). If you are travelling from the A12, exit at junction 15 and follow the A414 towards Harlow, you pass over 2 roundabouts and then Mulberry House is situated on your left.
