Following the National College online training, this one-day, face-to-face course completes the training requirement for all Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) and Deputy DSLs (DDSLs).

This session is open to all CIT DSLs and DDSLs, whether new to the role or already established. It forms part of the baseline training expectations and is also available as a refresher for those wishing to update their knowledge around Early Help.

The day will include:

Real-life case studies and scenarios

• Practical exercises and role play
• Q&A sessions with external safeguarding experts and experienced CIT DSLs
• A focus on lessons learned from Serious Case Reviews
• An opportunity to consolidate and test knowledge
