Reading & Phonics Professional Learning Community

Networking keeps you informed about the latest initiatives and allows you to connect with colleagues in similar roles at other schools to exchange best practices.

This network meeting is for Reading Leads within schools across CIT. It provides opportunity to network with colleagues who share a similar job role and to hear about training opportunities, hear updates to the reading framework and share and discuss approaches to phonics and reading. Leaders will be introduced to a range of resources, initiatives and events that can be used within their own schools and will be invited to present and share work from their own schools to contribute to the sessions. Leaders will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to explore how best to develop in-school practice to ensure phonics teaching leads to high attainment and progress.

GETTING HERE

Travelling North along the A1, turn off at the Long Bennington exit, and travel through the village along the Main Road. 

 

As you come out at the end of the village, just past the national speed limit sign you will see the sign for Long Bennington Business Park indicating you to turn left.  As you come in, Warwick House is the first building on the right hand side, however there is a one way system, so you’ll be directed down to turn right in front of Richmond House (PEBBL, Plan-It design, Nettl,Ash) take another right at the end of the hedge to come back round to Warwick House.

PARKING NOTICE FOR DELEGATES

Please be aware that the business park is currently particularly busy. We kindly ask all delegates to be mindful of our neighbours and avoid parking in any marked bays that are not designated for LEARN or CIT.

Delegates should park in clearly marked LEARN, CIT, or unallocated bays. If these are full, there is an overflow car park located at the end of the business park.

Should all on-site spaces be taken, you will need to park safely in Long Bennington village, beyond the double yellow lines, and walk back to the business park.

Where possible, we strongly encourage car sharing to help ease congestion.
