What you need to know

We are delighted to welcome Dr Adetunmise Dada to our JMS Network Event in conversation with JMS Scholar, Rosie Nmaju, from 6-8pm on Wednesday 30 April 2025 in the Researcher Development Suite of the Advanced Research Centre (ARC).

Doors open at 6pm, and the event will begin at 6:30pm.


Dr Adetunmise Dada is Lecturer in Optics and Quantum Technology in the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Glasgow, specializing in quantum optics and quantum information. He explores quantum light sources for high-dimensional quantum entanglement, quantum communication, and quantum metrology. Besides his academic pursuits, Dr. Dada hosts "The Science Show with Dr. Dada," a live radio program that delves into complex scientific topics in an engaging and accessible manner.  

His past roles include Research Fellow and Senior Research Associate within the Electronics and Nanoscale Engineering Research Division in the School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow (2019-2021), Senior Research Associate within the Quantum Engineering Technology Labs (2016-2019) at the University of Bristol, and Research Associate in the Quantum Photonics Laboratory at Heriot-Watt University (2013 - 2016).

Step-free access

There is step-free access to Level 2, the publicly accessible ground floor.


Toilets

Accessible and ambulant toilets are available throughout the building, as are gender neutral toilets. There is a Changing Places toilet located on Level 1, the lower ground floor; please ask at reception for support.


Baby Feeding and Changing

Baby feeding and changing facilities are available on Level 2. This includes access to a fridge, microwave, bottle warmer and sink.


Assistance dogs

You’re welcome to bring along your assistance dogs. Water bowls can be provided at Reception.


Blue Badge parking and drop off

The closest Blue Badge parking bay is located on University Place. Please contact ARCEnquiries@glasgow.ac.uk should you need to arrange accessible drop-off and parking immediately next to the ARC


Induction loops

All microphones in the building work in conjunction with an infrared hard of hearing system.
