What you need to know

The fifteenth Gordon Seminar in Criminal Law will take place on Thursday 6 June 2024 on the University of Glasgow campus, when the following speakers will present:

  • Dr Kate Leader (Queen Mary): Defendants as victims: do we need a new general defence for victims of coercion or exploitation who offend?
  • Lucy MacKay (Glasgow Caledonian): 'A lifelong project of being harmed': a closer look at age and criminalising misogynistic harassment in Scotland
  • Dan McManus (Glasgow): Direct measures and their original justifications
  • Dr David Prendergast (Trinity College Dublin): The difference between recklessness and negligence
  • Dr Andrew Tickell (Glasgow Caledonian): Redesigning reporting restrictions in the age of social media
