Title: The Liturgical Year and Catechesis

Description:Using the General Norms for the Liturgical Year and the Calendar as a resource Catechists will

understand more fully the entire mystery of Jesus Christ, from his incarnation and birth until his ascension, the day of Pentecost, and the expectation of his return in glory. 

• understand the Church’s Liturgical Calendar as an ever-deepening immersion into the mystery of Jesus Christ 

• relate the cycles of the liturgical year to the Christian faith journey.

• demonstrate how the cycles of the liturgical year enrich catechesis.
