Love & Information
Performed by the Langurs, directed by Arthur Wilson
The speed in which we receive information impacts the way we communicate with one another, and that in turn changes the connections we have with each other. In this mordantly humorous production, a fast-moving kaleidoscope of more than a hundred characters try to make sense of what they know.
With thematically linked scenes, the play’s nonlinear structure will certainly have an impact on each audience member in a unique way.
Love and Information first premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2012 in a production directed by James MacDonald. It is one of many plays written by Churchill, one of the UK’s most influential playwrights known for Cloud 9, Fen, and many others.
Les Lumières de la Ville
Performed by the Full Company, mentored by Magda Tuka & Anna Blackburn
The Devising Project is a collective working process of the entire CertHE 2021/2022 student body under artistic mentorship of Magda Tuka and Anna Blackburn. The task the young acting students have set themselves is to tackle thematically difficult issues like ignorance or toxicity in the broadest possible version of performance. From scenes of expressive movement to naturalism, from tragedy to comedy, from the word to a collective song - we aim above all to experiment and listen to the working process. The result is a performance that does not have a closed form, but rather is a statement on the topics that move us.
This booking is for Friday 15 July 13:00.
This performance is a double bill for Love & Information performed by the Langurs, directed by Arthur Wilson, followed by a Full Company Ensemble Devising performance, mentored by Magda Tuka & Anna Blackburn.
