A practical, one-hour group coaching session for senior in-house UX designers, brand designers, and Heads of Experience who want to position design more strategically, increase their business impact, and move forward in their careers.
“I feel like I’ve hit a ceiling in my design career. Stakeholders don’t get design, and it’s not really valued where I work.” This is something we consistently hear from experienced in-house designers.
In this upcoming session with Kate Pincott, Director of Experience at Multiverse, we’ll work through real, familiar challenges brought by participants. Together, we’ll unpack situations that many design leaders face but rarely get space to openly discuss.
We’ll explore questions like:
▶ What do you do when different departments pull design in completely different directions? Often, the issue isn’t communication, it’s misaligned KPIs.
▶ How can you introduce simple, lightweight metrics if your design team has none, and start demonstrating real impact?
▶ What if your company has no clear strategy?
▶ How do you ask the right questions and get useful, actionable answers?
▶ How do you handle leaders who react impulsively to user feedback?
▶ How can you frame risks and opportunities in “CEO language” and position yourself as a strategic partner?
If you’re feeling stuck because:
▶ stakeholders don’t seem to value design
▶ there’s no clear company strategy
▶ KPIs for design are unclear or non-existent
▶ you’re expected to deliver impact but lack the authority to influence decisions
▶ This session is designed for you.
We can’t promise we’ll solve every individual situation. But these challenges repeat across teams — and working through them collectively brings clarity, practical tools, and the confidence to lead design more strategically within your organisation.
You’ll leave with new perspectives, actionable frameworks, and a stronger sense of how to drive business impact as a senior in-house designer.
