A group of friends were discussing the wonderful memories being shared on the Facebook Page “You knew you grew up in Whitchurch if you remember”, when conversation turned to our teen years at the Civic on a Saturday night in the early seventies. What a fantastic time we all had! Great days; wouldn’t it be brilliant to do it again……………..

So here we are, the Civic is booked, the DJ briefed and we can now invite people to come along and re-live those fantastic nights! Those early 70s years were blessed with a superb range of musical genres including Motown, Progressive Rock, Glam Rock, Pop, Cheesy Hits, Northern Soul: there really was something for everyone both musically and with Fashion! The DJ will play a great variety to accommodate all tastes from dancing round handbags to head banging, with everything in between. Full Bar (but cannot guarantee Babycham). How superb it would be if those attending came dressed in their favourite style of gear from that period, so period dress is highly encouraged, but not compulsory.
