Workshop A - Effective Classroom Talk by David Reedy
David Reedy is General Secretary and Immediate Past President of the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA) and Co-Director of the Cambridge Primary Review Trust (CPRT). Until 2014 he was Principal Adviser for primary schools in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. His most recent publications are Guiding Readers: A handbook for teaching reading comprehension to 7-11 year olds (2016 UCL/IoE Press, with Wayne Tennant, Nikki Gamble and Angela Hobsbaum), Teaching Grammar Effectively in Key Stage 1 ( 2016 UKLA, with Eve Bearne and Rebecca Kennedy), and contributions to Teaching English Creatively (2nd Edition, 2015, Routledge, ed. Teresa Cremin)

Workshop B - Evidence in practice for busy middle leaders by Jane Elsworth & Stephen Foreman
Jane Elsworth – an experienced Geography teacher, Subject Leader and Assistant Headteacher. Since September 2016, Jane has been Assistant Director of Huntington Research School.
Stephen Foreman – Currently the Research-lead for the Huntington Research School and an experienced middle leader. Stephen has several years’ Senior Leadership experience and is working on developing ‘teacher inquiry’ at a whole school level.

Workshop C - Improving pupil outcomes using disciplined innovation by James Siddle
James Siddle is head teacher of St Margaret’s CE Primary School and head of Kyra Research School. James’ work on digital feedback was part of the National College’s ‘Closing the Gap’ project and featured one of the first school led randomised control trials. This work is now being developed in an efficacy trial with 60 schools funded by the Education Endowment Foundation.

Workshop D - Self-Regulation Strategy Development: A case study of research in a secondary school by Laura McQuade
Laura has been a Geography teacher for 15 years and is currently Assistant Head of Humanities at Haven High Academy in Boston. She works with the Lincolnshire Teaching Schools Alliance on research and development projects around the county, with a particular interest in the coast area. She is also studying for a Doctorate in Education looking at how teachers self-perceptions and the current neoliberal policy technologies in Education can impact on teacher wellbeing.

Workshop E - The Pen Green Paradigm: Practitioner research in the Early Years by Felicity Norton
Felicity is Deputy Head of Pen Green Integrated Centre with lead responsibility for Pen Green Research Training and Development Base and Pen Green Teaching School. Felicity currently leads on both the BA (Hons) in Integrated working with Children and Families in the Early Years and the MA in Integrated working with Children and Families in the Early Years.
Felicity has achieved a MA Degree in Integrated Education, The further education teachers certificate, BA Hons in Health and Community Studies and a BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood studies. She has studied Infant Psychotherapy and has a specialist interest in Psychotherapy and group dynamics.
