LGT Leadership Forum: Delivering Person-Centred Care

Wednesday, May 14, 2025

What you need to know

The LGT Leadership Forum has launched our programme for 2024-25 inspired by the topic of exceptional leadership.

Session 6: Delivering Person-Centred Care

Wednesday 14th May 2025, 9:30 – 12:30

Lecture Theatre, UHL

Guest Speaker: Prof Alf Collins, TPC Leadership

'Putting the patient at the heart of everything we do' is a clarion call that is often used by healthcare organisations, but what we mean when we say that, and do we really believe we are delivering such a service to every patient we see? This session will be interactive and will explore our beliefs and attitudes to person-centred care and perhaps challenge some of our deeply held assumptions. It might even leave you wanting to do better...

This session will offer:

- Insights and expertise on how to truly deliver patient-centred care
- The opportunity to ourselves and identify practical ways we can enhance our services and pathways
- Connection with other leaders and colleagues across the Trust

About the speaker:

Prof Alf Collins is the former National Clinical Director for Personalised Care at NHSE. A clinical leader and patient advocate with expertise in transformational system change and policy development and an internationally respected authority on high value, person-centred care.
