Dorset Council and Magdalen Farm have teamed up to offer exciting and fun days out in the Easter holidays for families who live in Dorset.  There are 5 dates on offer and each day has a particular cookery theme and includes a fun activity outside on our working farm - there is something for everyone to enjoy 

Join us for "Campfire Cooking" – first a family challenge to light a fire without matches then we will collect eggs from our chickens to cook tasty omelettes flavoured with herbs picked from the garden. A great way to learn about where our food comes from.  For the outdoor session take on our Orienteering challenge – using a compass and map families will find clues around the farm to solve a puzzle as well as gathering natural items to make a momento to take home such as dreamcatchers, twig photo frames, mud monsters and more.

The session is free and limited to 1 day per family.

Each day will include hot drinks, light refreshments and lunch which is a tasty jacket potato with a choice of fillings, followed by homemade cake and fruit bowl.

On-site we have 3 all-terrain wheelchairs to help those less able to get around the farm along with a dedicated "Changing Place" (please bring your own hoist if required).

We will tailor the event to suit the needs of the individuals in the group so it is important you let us know in advance of any requirements you and your family may have. 

Due to the current COVID1-9 restrictions only limited numbers will be allowed on the farm.
