Come along and enjoy our Summer in Dorset events, great days out for families to enjoy fun farm and nature based activities together, exploring the countryside and learning new facts.

Summer in Dorset days out are for low income families whose children are eligible for free school meals.

On this 'Woodland' themed event you will explore the great outdoors, explore the woods finding out all about the creatures and plants living there plus have a go at building a den and learn to safely light a fire using a flint and steel.

Learn about our environment, spend time and have fun outdoors, plus meet our animals.

Enjoy finding out about some of the organic foods we grow and help collect delicious salad to go with your lunch which we will provide – just let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements, we will be only too happy to accommodate.

By attending on of our Summer in Dorset day events  you will also have the opportunity to attend a sleepover!

We will tailor the event to suit the needs of the individuals in the group so it is important you let us know in advance of any requirements you and your family may have.

On-site we have 3 all-terrain wheelchairs (bookable in advance) to help those less able to get around the farm if necessary.

Magdalen is a working organic farm set in the glorious countryside of Dorset & Somerset.  At the heart of our farm is an education centre from which we offer activities with accommodation and delicious meals. Our aim is to encourage as many people as possible from all walks of life to enjoy the great outdoors.
