This seminar is an invitation only event. If you have not received an invitation you will not be able to book a place this time. Further Seminars will be organised in the near future.
This briefing, led by the Metropolitan Grand Secretary, is designed to equip Lodge Secretaries with the essential knowledge needed for their pivotal roles. The smooth running of any Lodge depends greatly on the skill and understanding of its chief administrative officer. Your expertise—or lack thereof—will significantly affect your capacity to fulfil your responsibilities with the competence upon which the Worshipful Master will chiefly depend.
The seminar aims to provide you with the tools that will make managing your Lodge both efficient and rewarding, enhancing the experience for yourself and all the members. While there are no pre-reading requirements, your main area of responsibility centres on the Book of Constitutions. To gain the greatest value from the seminar, it is recommended that you review some of the most relevant rules before attending. Rules 99 - 183A in the 2025 edition can be viewed on or downloaded from the UGLE website.
