What you need to know

Penshurst Church is delighted to host five up and coming young pianists from the Trinity Laban Conservatory in Greenwich London. These music students are starting out on their careers and will be playing on the recently purchased Bluthner in the beautiful surroundings of Penshurst Church. The series takes us through European Romantic piano from Chopin and Schubert to Boulanger, Scriabin and De Falla. These young pianists will show their formidable piano technique in four concerts each starting at 730 and finishing around 930. This is a chance to hear a selection of really talented newcomers showcasing the most beautiful and approachable classical music. Tickets only £8 per event (plus booking fee)or £25 for all four recitals (for a season ticket please contact robertrees3@aol.com). Concessions available for children and music students.

Elise Jasmine Hills was born in the United Kingdom in 2001 and began playing the piano at the age of six, entirely self-taught, until she reached 17. She is now under the tutelage of some of the finest concert pianists of our era. Currently, Elise is enrolled at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire, one of the world's most esteemed music schools, where she studies with Mikhail Kazakevich. She has already made her mark in the musical world, participating in master classes led by Dorothy Khadem-Missagh. Elise has had the privilege of working with eminent pianists such as Pascal Rogé, Dmitry Alexeev, and Mikhail Kazakevich. Recently  Elise won the International Competition "21st Century Talents." and was also a finalist in the Elizabeth Schumann Lieder Competition, where she collaborated with her musical partner, Johannes Gerges.

Penshurst Church is at the end of the High St, behind Leicester Square and next to the Gate House of Penshurst Place. Car parking is available on the High St and in the lay by on the Leigh Road.
