What you need to know

On line registration for all Heritage Vehicle Exhibitors (Except Cars and M/Cycles) 

If fully booked for your category, please put yourself on our wait list. We will be reviewing the areas available with a view to releasing more slots closer to the event taking place. Click to go on to our wait list here with an option to remain on our mailing list for early access to next year's bookings. 

As in previous years we are calling on owners of all heritage vehicles - Large and Small Commercial, Fire Engines and Other Services, military trucks, PSV, Agricultural , Static Engines and enter their vehicles for static display.

Entry to this event remains free to all above classifications. (Modern/current commercial vehicles are not eligible for this registration process, email bfot-enquiries@outlook.com for details on arranging a trade stand).

* Vehicle entry from 07:00, must be parked up in display area by 10:00 - Public entry from 11.00. Vehicles are not allowed to leave the event until 16:15 *

Essential Information :

  • No vehicle movements between 10:00 and 16.00 (No Access to the Site before 07:00)
  • Exhibiting Vehicles will not be allowed to leave the site before 16:15
  • The instructions and guidance from the Festival Marshals (who will all be in hivis jackets) must be followed at all times.The site speed limit is 5MPH at all times.
  • All parked vehicles must be securely braked and/or chocked and once positioned the engine must NOT be run onsite until you are directed to leave at the end of the Festival or if you need to leave under supervision in an emergency. (Engines in the Static category may be run during the event provided they are under constant supervision)
  • Entries must be entered in a clean and safe working order.
  • The driver of every vehicle attending the Festival must hold as at the date of the Festival, a valid policy of motor insurance that covers use of the vehicle being driven. This insurance must include any trailer that you will be bringing on site.
  • Should your display vehicle need to be transported to the site by trailer, you are required to separately notify the organiser so that appropriate parking can be arranged. The availability of this parking is very limited.
  • Full size steam wagons and engines are not permitted.

Prohibited Items :

  • Quad Bikes and Electric Scooters are strictly prohibited.
  • Open fires, barbeques, generators, and gas appliances are all strictly prohibited.

The above and the below directions will take you to the Public Car Park entrance.  Display Vehicles, Stallholders and Disabled Vehicles should continue past this entrance and take the first left on to Crossborough Hill, proceed up the hill to the Festival Entrance. Entry passes/Disabled Badges will be checked at the bottom of Crossborough Hill and there will be no admittance without one.

Directions

From North:

  1. Join A339 (Ringway) heading Southwest signed towards M3
  2. At Black Dam roundabout take the outside lane to the second set of lights & then exit onto Ringway South/A30 signed towards Alton.
  3. After 0.4 mile take slip road towards Black Dam/Eastrop.
  4. Follow slip road for 0.1 mile
  5. Turn left on to the bridge across the top of the A30 
  6. Turn right onto Old Common Road
  7. After 0.3 mile at roundabout 1st exit onto London Road
  8. Public Car Park Signed.  Display Vehicles, Stallholders and Disabled Vehicles should continue and follow the above instructions.

From M3  Motorway West, and East:

  1. Leave M3 at Junction 6, signed Basingstoke/Newbury/Alton/Reading. 
  2. From the roundabout (under M3) keep in lefthand lane
  3. After 0.3 mile at the next roundabout (Black Dam Roundabout) take 1st exit A30/ Alton
  4. After 0.4 mile take the slip road towards Black Dam/Eastrop.
  5. THEN FOLLOW INSTRUCTION THE SAME AS ABOVE FROM ITEM NUMBER 4

From Alton & South

  1. From Alton & the South continue to Ring Road A30 & follow signs for the M3 London
  2. From the Alton Road roundabout continue along A30.
  3. After 0.4 mile take slip road left on to Old Common Road
  4. THEN FOLLOW INSTRUCTION AS ABOVE FROM ITEM NUMBER 7 

When Leaving the Festival:

Pre-War Cars, Prestige Cars, Post War Cars, and Motorcycles should leave by via the exit at the lower (north) of the main field onto White Hart Lane. When you reach the T junction at London Road, you should turn right and reverse the incoming instructions above, back to the Ring Road & the exit routes for all directions of travel.

Commercial Vehicles, Stall Holders, and all vehicles on the Car Club field should leave down Crossborough Hill and turn right onto London Road.

Warning: if you turn left onto London Road, you will get caught at the traffic lights which have a very short time cycle for releasing vehicles!
