MARK PALMER:
For over 13 years Mark Palmer has been performing as a stand-up comic, building up a reputation as one of South Africa’s most in demand comedians and is now based in the UK. With a comedic voice heavily influenced by the likes of Bill Cosby and Jerry Seinfeld, Mark’s ability to blend a theme or topic with one of today’s funniest comedy routines is unparalleled. His smart, sometimes loud and often opinionated brand of comedy has made him an audience favourite wherever he performs.
COKEY FALKOW:
Since starting in the late 90s, Cokey Falkow established himself as one of South Africa’s edgier stand-up acts. Appearing at a wide variety of clubs and numerous international comedy festivals, he gathered a cult following. This led to 3 national one-man tours for which Cokey received critical acclaim at Grahamstown National Arts Festival.
Cokey was then flown to London to perform in the South African Comedy Festival in London which ran at the Riverside studio theatre in Hammersmith for 5 weeks. Cokey also produced international comedy festivals in his home town of Durban where he introduced Russell Peters to South Africa.
After 6 years in the US, where he played The Comedy Store regularly and was well known on the improv circuit, Cokey moved from LA to the UK in late 2014 and is hitting the UK comedy circuit hard in 2015.
MARTIN DAVIS:
Martin Davis skids and bounds across the stage, strung up and tugged around by unknown forces, firing off a relentless rapid-fire assault that hits every corner of the room and kills 100% of all known hecklers stone dead.
His skill in warming the chilliest rooms and turning the stoniest audience to soft putty in his hands makes Martin Davis the comic's favourite compere. With enough nervous ENERGY to power a small city, Martin is the Jolt Cola of the circuit. Consumer advice would read: connect up the microphone, shout "clear!" and stand well back!
With residencies at London's Comedy Cafe and So Ho Ho and regular appearances at Britain's top venues including The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, the Glee Clubs, The Laughter Lounge and The Stand, Martin has a strong and dedicated following all over the UK as well as Ireland.
He has also appeared at many international comedy tours and festivals, including The Kilkenny International Comedy Festival, The Lucky Strike Comedy Tour in Holland, The Dutch Diligentia and Lowlands Festivals.
