The RYA Coastal Skipper is the highest level of taught course within the RYA syllabus, covering advanced sailing techniques to prepare you for more challenging conditions and longer passages.

Monday - Friday Format:

You will meet your crew and instructor for the 5-day practical course at 7pm on the Sunday evening before the course starts on Monday. The first evening is relaxed, and a chance to get to know each other over a crew meal ashore. The next morning you will prepare to set sail the route you will take over the following 5 day will be weather dependent. 

You will return about 3.30pm on the final Friday.

What's Included:

Sailing Logic offer a no-hidden extras approach. All mooring fees are included in the course fee, as well as the loan of high quality waterproof jacket and trousers. All daytime food and 3 evening meals are included on board, allowing you two evenings to enjoy a meal ashore (the first evening, plus one another). You will also receive an RYA Coastal Skipper course completion certificate - this is a new photo ID format, so please bring a passport sized photo with you. 

Pre-Requisites:

Please ensure you hold the pre-requisites for this course before attending:

• Logged 15 days sailing, 2 as skipper
• Logged 300NM and 8 night hours
• RYA Yachtmaster/Coastal Skipper Theory knowledge (or equivalent knowledge)
• Minimum age 17

Please ensure you bring your log-book with you as well as a passport sized photo for your certificate.
