SWAP Study Skills Day for SWAP/HN Nursing Students

This is an important part of your Preparation for HE unit.

The aim of the day is to give you confidence about going to university. We want to help prepare you for this by giving you an insight into what being a student on a Nursing degree at UHI will be like – what to expect and what the university will expect of you! Included in the day will be information on the application process (including how the interviews work), the degree programme (especially the 1st year) and the clinical placements. You will also take part in practical skills sessions and hear more from UHI Nursing staff about the course. You will also hear from students who are already at university and who can share their experiences of moving from college into studying at UHI. It will also be an opportunity for you to experience being in UHI’s Centre for Health Science. 

Once you have registered for the event, you will be sent details of the day’s programme and a work sheet to complete prior to the 5th February. A certificate of Attendance will be given to you at the end of the day which can go towards your Prep for HE credit.
