What you need to know

Join us for a half day workshop hosted by Lily of the Herbs with guest facilitator Acupuncturist Dr. Jessie Fayers, to learn the ancient art of moxibustion.

Moxibustion is the plant mugwort which is used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine to boost energy and vitality. The plant is rolled into cones or sticks and burned over specific points and meridian lines.

Benefits of moxa include:

  • Improving female health issues such as menstrual irregularity, infertility, and breech pregnancy.
  • Relieving male health problems such as impotence and poor sperm quality.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

  • How to use stick and cone moxa (including rice grain moxa)
  • Specific points for energy, digestion, and fertility.
  • Safety and contraindication
  • The history of Mugwort.
  • How to disperse, tonify and build chi.
  • How to identify and grow mugwort in your own garden.

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE:

  • 3 hours of guided tuition.
  • You own moxa kit to take home.
  • A light lunch.
