It is increasingly recognised that our health is a direct consequence of the quality of our environment. Chronic illness is often the outcome of a lifetime of our bodies defending us from an environment that feels threatening. The sources of threat are manifold, including our physical surroundings, food quality, and our unconscious beliefs about ourselves and the world around us. This workshop will review the effects of your environment on your health and help you to explore where you may be able to make some simple changes. You will discover ways to shift your body’s emphasis from automated patterns of protection into a state of relaxation and wellness. We will discuss a holistic approach to your health, addressing (and celebrating!) all dimensions of your being from the physical to the subtle.
Dr Lucie Wilk is an NHS Consultant Rheumatologist, Craniosacral therapist and holistic practitioner with over 25 years of experience as a medical doctor. She applies a multidimensional approach to healing, including nutrition and gut health, movement and breath practice, and also works on the psychological, emotional and spiritual elements of wellbeing.
