Professional Audition Experience Sessions

We're delighted to continue offering our Professional Audition Experience Sessions, designed to give young performers a realistic insight into the audition process.

You will audition in front of Tarquin Shaw-Young FEAA, a casting agent with over 25 years' industry experience, who has cast and auditioned performers for productions including The Batman Part II, Enola Holmes 3, The Sandman, The Crown, Black Mirror, Call the Midwife, Casualty, Harry Potter, Marvel productions and many more.

Understanding the audition process and mastering self-taping are essential skills for any young performer. During your session, you'll receive individual feedback and professional advice, helping you develop the confidence and techniques that casting directors and agents are looking for.

Tarquin Talent Management also considers performers for representation through these sessions, and exceptional audition reels may be shared with our trusted network of industry agents.

As part of your session, you'll receive a professional industry-standard headshot taken by Mark Davis of MAD Photography, one of the UK's leading children's portrait photographers. Your headshot is included in the session fee and is suitable for castings and Spotlight.

What You'll Need to Prepare

• A one-minute monologue appropriate to your age.
• An additional script, sent to you on the Wednesday before your session, to perform on the day.

Each participant will be allocated an individual audition slot within the session, lasting up to 45 minutes, followed by their professional photo session. All feedback is provided during your audition, giving you practical advice you can apply immediately.
