Itinerary

Day 1 – London to the Island

London → Ferry → Ventnor

Depart London in the afternoon and travel by comfortable minibus to the south coast. Cross the Solent by ferry, enjoying sea views as the island comes into sight.

Continue across the Isle of Wight to Ventnor and check in to your seaside hotel.

Evening:
Hosted Taste the Wight welcome dinner showcasing seasonal island produce.
Sleep: Ventnor (Night 1)
Travel: 3–4 hrs total. Walking: light.

Day 2 – Fields, Farms & Island Flavours

Rural Heartland & West Wight

After breakfast with sea views, head inland through rolling countryside.

Farm Visit: Briddlesford Lodge Farm
Meet the farmers, learn about sustainable dairy farming, and enjoy tastings of award-winning Isle of Wight cheeses.

Producer Visit: The Garlic Farm (or seasonal equivalent)
Discover one of the island’s most iconic producers with guided tastings and insight into island growing conditions.

Lunch at Leisure:
Free time in a coastal town such as Yarmouth or Freshwater, with recommendations provided.

Afternoon: Mermaid Gin Distillery
Guided distillery visit and tasting, showcasing island botanicals and flavours. Optional coastal walk or free time nearby.

Return to Ventnor to relax before the evening.

Evening:
Free time to dine independently or
Optional Upgrade: 6-course surprise tasting menu at The True Food Kitchen, crafted using the finest island ingredients by award-winning chefs.

Day 3 – Slow Morning & Return

Ventnor → Isle of Wight → London

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and free time in Ventnor — stroll the seafront, browse local shops, or enjoy the views.

Optional: Visit to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s former residence (entry not included).

Late morning departure, ferry crossing back to the mainland, and return to London by early evening.

Instructions to find the pick-up point:

  1. 1. Exit the station: Walk towards the main concourse or the exit for Station Approach Road. 
  2. 2. Turn for Cab Road:
    • If you are coming from low-numbered platforms (1-11), you will need to turn left as you exit. 
    • If you are coming from high-numbered platforms, turn right. 
  3. 3. Look for landmarks: You will find the one-way "Cab Road" which is the main road alongside the station. A Costa Coffee and Boots are roughly opposite each other on the concourse, and your pickup should be near this area on Cab Road. 
  4. 4. Wait for your ride: The pickup point is designed for drivers to safely stop, so your ride should be waiting for you there.
