The Rotary Club of Alloa presents the Tour de Clacks - Pedal in Purple event.
This year our flagship family friendly cycling challenged will have a purple theme.
This celebrates Rotary’s fight against polio: after every immunisation, a child’s finger is marked with purple ink, symbolising hope and progress. Pedal, wear purple, and let’s work together for a polio-free world!
Your entry fee will be donated to the Rotary End Polio Now campaign, but participants are also encouraged to fundraise for a local charity or community group that's important to you.
All children and young people are especially welcome and all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
This year's event is a 22km (13 mile) circular route starting and finishing at the pedestrian bridge to the West of Alloa Railway Station and following designated paths of the National Cycle Network.
The route is well sign-posted, safe and mostly off-road, but there are a couple of roads to cross and participants must take extra care at these points. There will be marshals along the route who are there to help you if needed. Participants should expect to complete the route in under 2 hours with an event scheduled finishing time of 1pm.
