RYA Day Skipper Course
The RYA Day Skipper Course is designed for aspiring skippers who want to gain the confidence and skills to take charge of a yacht. It is ideal for those with some prior sailing experience who are ready to take the next step in their sailing journey.

• Skippering techniques, decision-making, and leadership
• Planning and executing short passages
• Navigation, including chart work and electronic navigation
• Tidal calculations and passage planning
• Mooring, anchoring, and handling a yacht in different conditions
• Collision regulations and safety procedures
• Night sailing and watchkeeping
• Engine checks and maintenance basics
• Weather forecasting and its impact on sailing decisions
• Emergency procedures, including Man Overboard recovery
