RYA Start Yachting Course
The RYA Start Yachting Course is the perfect introduction to sailing for beginners. It is designed for those with little or no experience who want to get a taste of life on a yacht and learn the fundamentals of sailing. This two-day course provides hands-on experience and a fun, safe environment to build confidence on the water.

What You Will Learn

• Basic yacht handling under sail and power
• Steering and sail control
• Basic rope work, knots, and line handling
• Safety procedures and equipment onboard
• Rules of the water and basic navigation principles
• Crew roles and teamwork on board
• What to do in an emergency, including Man Overboard procedures
• Basic meteorology and how the weather affects sailing
• Introduction to life on board, including galley duties and living in a confined space
