10 Day BONIFACIO TO SARDINIA & CORSICA


Start Point: Bonifacio, Corsica
End Point: Macinaggio or Bastia (Corsica) – or return to Bonifacio if circular

⚓ Day 1: Bonifacio (Corsica – Stay Put & Explore)
Anchor: Inside Bonifacio’s fjord-like natural harbour

What to do: Walk the clifftop citadel, shop artisan boutiques, dinghy tour the sea caves

Dining: Kissing Pigs or La Caravelle – iconic Corsican harbour dining

Tip: Provision here – it’s the last big town before island anchorages

⚓ Day 2: Bonifacio to Isola Razzoli (Sardinia – Maddalena Archipelago)
Distance: ~10 NM

Anchor: Cala Lunga or Cala Cappello – turquoise, wild and peaceful

What to do: Swim, snorkel, hike the granite boulders

Dining: On board – it’s remote and serene

⚓ Day 3: Razzoli to La Maddalena Town
Distance: ~15 NM (via Budelli’s Pink Beach for a swim stop)

Mooring: Porto di Cala Gavetta (town marina or anchor outside)

What to do: Explore the historic town, relax at a café, light shopping

Dining: Ristorante Lio – fresh seafood and Sardinian wine

⚓ Day 4: La Maddalena to Caprera (Cala Coticcio or Porto Palma)
Distance: ~10 NM

Anchor: Cala Coticcio (“Tahiti Beach”) or Porto Palma (more shelter)

What to do: Beach time, snorkelling, or hike to Garibaldi’s House

Dining: On board – magical setting at anchor

⚓ Day 5: Caprera to Porto Cervo (Costa Smeralda)
Distance: ~10 NM

Mooring: Anchor off Piccolo Pevero or take a berth (for a touch of luxury)

What to do: Glamour day – upscale shops, aperitivi, celebrity yachts

Dining: Spinnaker or Zamira Lounge for elegant Sardinian fare

⚓ Day 6: Porto Cervo to Santa Teresa Gallura (Back to Corsica-facing Sardinia)
Distance: ~15 NM

Anchor: In front of the beach or take a berth at the marina

What to do: Charming town to explore, relaxed and welcoming

Dining: Il Grottino – local spot for pasta and seafood

⚓ Day 7: Santa Teresa to Rondinara Bay (Corsica)
Distance: ~10 NM

Anchor: Gorgeous horseshoe-shaped bay with sandy bottom

What to do: Swim, paddleboard, hike inland

Dining: Paillote Rondinara – beach bar & grill (or dine aboard)

⚓ Day 8: Rondinara to Solenzara
Distance: ~25 NM

Anchor: Outside the small marina or take a berth

What to do: Beach day, walk to the river gorge, or have a lazy town lunch

Dining: Le 7ème Art – casual Corsican bistro

⚓ Day 9: Solenzara to Bastia or Macinaggio
Distance: ~35–45 NM

Anchor: Macinaggio has a peaceful marina; Bastia is more lively

What to do: Choose Macinaggio for nature and calm, or Bastia for town and culture

Dining: Nova in Bastia – chic Corsican cuisine with a wine focus

⚓ Day 10: Explore or Return Leg Options
Option 1: Spend a relaxed day in port (Bastia or Macinaggio)

Option 2: Short sail to Barcaggio or Cap Corse coves

Option 3: Begin your return leg toward Bonifacio (if looping)
