Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Join us on Wednesday 30th September for the official launch of Discovering Liveability’s Lived & Living Experience Hub!
The event will involve some discussion about how we can develop the hub as a positive space for researchers and collaborators with lived and living experience relating to suicide. There is no expectation to directly share or discuss experiences of suicide. You can choose to share what feels safe and comfortable for you.
What to expect:
11:00–12:00: The event will begin with a presentation from PI Professor Amy Chandler who will share the aims of the Discovering Liveability project and what we’ve been working on so far. Then, head into our Work Package poster presentation break-out rooms where you can choose which bits of work you wish to find out more about, ask questions and connect with researchers and fellow attendees.
12:00-12:10 Break + self-guided Liveability Photo Tour
Take a break, grab a cuppa and explore our virtual gallery, featuring submissions from our Liveability Photo initiative.
12:10-1:00: In the second half of the event, we’ll take a closer look at what ‘the Hub’ is and invite you to help us to co-create the vision and values for the Hub, before moving on to explore where we’re heading over the next year. We'll share more about our upcoming programme of events and the development of a lived experience of suicide co-produced research agenda.
We hope you join us in shaping the future of the Hub as an organic and evolving space for developing conversations and connecting people across all areas of suicide research.
The Discovering Liveability project and the hub are fully funded by Wellcome.
