What you need to know

Introduction to Mindfulness, 12-1pm, room 130

Join our Introduction to Mindfulness session and see if mindful techniques can be beneficial to your wellbeing. This is facilitated by Dr David Grinter, a clinical psychologist trained in mindfulness who works here at the University of Glasgow and the NHS.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, without being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s happening around us. It’s a simple yet powerful tool that can help reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall wellbeing.

It is designed for beginners, so no prior experience or knowledge is needed. You’ll learn practical techniques to incorporate mindfulness into your daily routine, helping you to manage stress and hopefully improving your wellbeing . Through guided exercises and discussions, we hope you’ll gain some valuable insights and skills to enhance your emotional wellbeing.
