William Hunter and the Anatomy of the Modern Museum marks the William Hunter Tercentenary – 300 years since the birth of Hunterian founder, Dr William Hunter (1718-1783).
This major exhibition not only offers a critical examination of Hunter - a man of exceptional vision who saw no boundaries between art and science - but explores his life, character and career as well as his research, collection and links to Glasgow.
This 'Meet the Anatomy Expert' special event provides an accessible insight into some of the medical themes contained within this outstanding display. You will get to meet Professor Fabio Quondamatteo and Professor Stuart McDonald, two leading experts from the University of Glasgow's Anatomy Facility, who will be talking about the anatomy of pregnancy and the gravid uterus.
This public event is suitable for all, with free wine reception.
