Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) will bring together both patients and scientists, allowing open discussions whereby patients can learn about scientific research, and scientists can better understand patient experiences. ResearchTogether is about conditions relevant to the attendees, therefore allowing scientists to inform their research based upon patient experiences.
In this way, scientists can ensure their research best supports patients, whilst patients can gain insight into the cutting-edge research being carried out for their condition.
