New Lister Building, Glasgow, United Kingdom
University of Glasgow has been pioneering older adult clinical practice and research for decades. We had the world’s first Professor of Geriatric Medicine (Sir William Ferguson Anderson in 1965), and although the team have changed, the commitment to improving the lives of older adults remains just as strong.
Older adult research is a team effort, and this event is a thank you to the multidisciplinary collaborators, and academic colleagues from the UK and beyond who have helped us along the way. It is also a sincere thank you to the many donors and volunteers who have kindly supported our work.
The theme of the event is ‘breaking down silos’ and we will showcase our research that works with other clinical and academic disciplines. We have guest speakers including Prof Graham Ellis (Deputy Chief Medical Officer) and Prof Nele Demeyere (newly appointed Chair Neuropsychology, University of Oxford) as well as lots of representation from the ‘home’ team.
Join us as we celebrate cross-institute, cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
