What you need to know

Climate Change & Biodiversity has been identified as a key priority in the UK International Development Strategy and is a focus theme for the 2023-24 GCID Small Grants. This event is an opportunity for members of the research community (including professional services and technical staff) at the University of Glasgow from all disciplines who are interested in any aspect of this theme to share their particular interests, learn about others across the university who are also engaging with this topic, and identify opportunities for collaboration. There is no need for any previous international development research experience – everyone is welcome. Through a combination of quick introductions, round-table discussions and short presentations on the UK funding landscape, our aims are:

• To share areas of interest relating to this topic

• Provide a chance for discussions around research ideas relating to this topic

• Share your expertise with others who may be seeking collaborators related to this theme

We hope to offer everyone who registers the chance to introduce themselves and their key research interests via a 1-minute, 1-slide presentation. Please be prepared to send in your single slide at least 2 days before the event (instructions will be provided via e-mail).
