This is a workshop aimed at REF Impact Leads, REF impact prospect assessment group members, and other colleagues involved or interested in the identification and development of potential REF Impact Case Studies for REF2029. The workshop is organised by the Research Services REF Impact Team at University of Glasgow in collaboration with the College Impact Teams at each College. It is open to all staff at University of Glasgow.
This workshop is part of a bigger programme of training and accompanying resources in response to feedback from REF2021 aiming to further enhance the quality and consistency of assessment of potential REF Impact Case Studies across all Schools and Colleges at the University of Glasgow. Before attending this workshop we recommend that you have attended the previous ‘Orientation for REF impact assessment’ workshop, or watched the online version of this, and familiarised yourself with the criteria for assessing REF impact prospects.

CoAH is working to a different schedule for identifying potential impact case studies, colleagues in CoAH are very welcome to join any workshops delivered in spring 2025 but will also be provided additional opportunity in the summer.

For Room 282 Hothouse: using the right door past the main entrance, take the stairs. Turn left at the top of the stairs, walking until you reach the wall. Turn right and the entrance to the room is at the far end of the floor.
The Adam Smith Business School is housed in the new University campus facing Dumbarton Road.
Reception is located on level 2 of the building, which can be found through the main entrance that faces the main University campus and Kelvingrove Park.
