We are delighted to invite you all to the first CREATe Public Lecture after the summer break!

On 9 October 2024 we will welcome Angela Zhang who will talk to us about her book, High Wire: How China Regulates Big Tech and Governs Its Economy, focusing on topics of China’s relationship with Big Tech and its governance of AI.

This event will take place, in-person-only, on Wednesday 9 October, 5.00pm UK time in Studio 2 of the Advanced Research Centre of the University of Glasgow.

Angela Zhang is a Professor of Law at the University of Southern California. Widely recognized as a leading authority on China’s tech regulation, Angela Zhang has written extensively on this topic. She is the author of “Chinese Antitrust Exceptionalism: How the Rise of China Challenges Global Regulation” (Oxford, 2021), which was named one of the Best Political Economy Books of 2021 by ProMarket.
