What you need to know

This is an in-person event for UofG Staff and Students Only.  A valid UofG Staff, Research, Student or SRC email address is required to book your ticket.

The University of Glasgow is committed to promoting equality in all its activities and aims to provide a work, learning, research and teaching environment free from discrimination and unfair treatment.

In October 2022 the University introduced a policy to support colleagues experiencing menopausal transitions and hormonal changes. Many of our colleagues are working through menopause or supporting someone who is and we are committed to introducing the right menopause awareness, guidance and support to allow colleagues to feel happy, nurtured and supported.

We are proud of the progress we are making, and we want to keep the conversation going. October is Menopause Awareness Month and we invite you join a special panel event where you can hear from colleagues and senior leaders about their views and experiences of menopause and hormonal changes.

The event will be introduced by Equality and Diversity Unit colleagues and our panel will consist of Professors Sara Carter, Frank Coton and Kathleen Riach and Dr Amanda Sykes.

The panel will run from 12 noon to 1pm, with an opportunity to have a light lunch and to network afterwards.
