Screening for University of Glasgow Staff and Students Only

The University of Glasgow's Centre for Public Policy and the Equality and Diversity Unit welcomes you to a screening of the 2025 documentary film, ‘Prime Minister’ to mark Women's History Month.

'Prime Minister' chronicles Jacinda Ardern's tenure as New Zealand Prime Minister, navigating crises while redefining global leadership through her empathetic yet resolute approach.

Intimate home footage shot by her husband and audio interviews that Jacinda did while in office gives us unparalleled access. Along with in-depth contemporaneous interviews we have an unfiltered window into her years in power. 

Following the screening, Professor Kezia Dugdale will chair a discussion on "Women, Leadership and complex public policy" with colleagues Professor Ariadne Vromen and Dr Hannah Salamon.

This screening and the light refreshments available afterwards have been made possible with funding from the University's Ferguson Bequest.
