Did you know:

• women receive less than 2% of money invested by venture capital investors
• on average, women start businesses with around 50% less money than men 
• women often also ask for lower amounts than men, so they end up with less even when they are successful in getting funding

But what’s interesting about crowdfunding, is that women are very successful at gaining support from their network. Research shows that in the UK women-led campaigns are 32% more successful than those that are male-led. So, whether you are starting up or scaling up your business, having the money to fund your plans can help speed your way to success - and crowdfunding could be the right option for you. 

During this online session, you'll learn all about how crowdfunding can benefit your business and how to make the most of this funding method. You will hear from other women business owners who have crowdfunded and will share their insights and experiences, giving you practical tips on how they launched a campaign. Plus, you'll have the chance to connect with and support other like-minded women entrepreneurs, all curious about crowdfunding.  

This session is delivered in collaboration with the South of Scotland Enterprise and is funded by the Scottish Government Pathways Fund, so it is free for participants.
