Good financial management is vital for business operation and growth. Establishing a solid foundation and good practices from the start can improve business cashflow and longer-term sustainability.
Our programme is available for businesses based in the Scottish Borders or in Dumfries and Galloway. Sessions will cover preparing and submitting an annual tax return, including the process and basic forms to complete for a sole trader/self-assessment and a company tax return. We will also review how sales can help to strengthen your business cashflow with top tips on practical approaches to boost your finances. Our final session will focus on bootstrapping and the art of being resourceful to maximise the resources you have available.
There is no cost to attend as the programme is fully funded by South of Scotland Enterprise.
This programme will be hosted by Carolyn Currie, CEO of Women’s Enterprise Scotland (WES) and a Chartered Banker with extensive experience in supporting business growth and financial capability. Throughout the series, guest expert speakers will join selected sessions to share specialist insights and practical advice on key financial topics.
Each week, you will receive course guides to support learning, along with an individual toolkit to work through and apply to your own business. All materials will be available through an online resource centre for easy access and continued reference.
By the end of the programme, attendees will be equipped with practical tools, expert insights, and a solid financial foundation to support long-term business growth.
