What you need to know

Strategic Funding for Growth course

  • This registration is for all 8 sessions, plus an initial welcome onboarding webinar. 
  • Please ensure you can attend all sessions to get the full benefit of the complete course. You should only register if you are able to attend all sessions. There are a limited number of places. 
  • Your place on the course is confirmed only when you complete the onboarding pre-course questionnaire and receive an email with Zoom details to join the sessions. 

Our Strategic Funding for Growth course is designed to give women entrepreneurs across Scotland, the knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively fund and grow their early-stage businesses. 

Coupled with expert support, this course aims to encourage you, over 8 sessions, to learn new skills and develop your own personal funding growth strategy tailored to your business. 

Places are funded by The Ecosystem Fund, so there is no charge to participate.

Format

The course will be delivered online between Wednesday 27th August until Wednesday 5th November 2025, with a two-week break for the October school holidays. The sessions will be weekly morning sessions, held by zoom from 10am – 11.30am on a Wednesday morning. In addition to the course, there will be the opportunity to attend an end of course event to meet funders and investors, and other women business owners.

The sessions will be interactive and include insights from expert guest speakers as well as guided group discussions where you'll learn alongside and from other participants.

  • 24/09/25 - Grants and Public Sector Funding (10-11.30am) 
  • 01/10/25 - Microfinance and Social Lending (10-11.30am) 
  • 08/10/25 - Traditional Debt and Bank Loans (10-11.30am)

  • 29/10/25 - Angel Investment and Equity (10-11.30am) 
  • 05/11/25 - Funding Fit and Future Strategy (10-11.30am)

You will also receive a customisable funding strategy toolkit, weekly course guides for each topic, as well as access to a digital library with funding resources and case studies. Plus be introduced to relevant funding providers and investors, and become a part of a supportive community of women to learn, share, and grow alongside.
