Volunteers – Join the Race for the Wild Team!
Supporting Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, we are looking for volunteers to join our team on Sunday 12 July 2026 to help make the first Race for the Wild a success.
The 13km road race will start at People’s Park, St Helier, at 9.00am, with runners finishing at Jersey Zoo, Trinity. Volunteers are vital to the safety and smooth running of the race.
Volunteers can choose to support the event in either St Helier or Trinity. Those volunteering in St Helier will walk or cycle to their allocated junction point, while volunteers based in Trinity will check in at Jersey Zoo and be transported to their junction location.
Positions available on the day include:
• Course Marshals – Located at key junctions around the course, helping to guide runners safely along the route.
• Water Station Team – Positioned at designated points on the course, helping keep runners hydrated.
• Manual Time Keepers – Based at the finish line, assisting with recording finish times as a reliable backup to chip timing.
All volunteers will receive:
• Transportation from Jersey Zoo to their course location (where applicable)
• Free entry into Jersey Zoo on Sunday 12 July 2026
• A hot drink voucher to use at Jersey Zoo
We hope you can support us and be part of this exciting new event, helping to raise funds for the important work of Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
