25th October - Bristol to Bath Marathon

The Bristol + Bath Marathon is the UK’s only closed road city to city marathons. 8,000 runners are expected year one and the event has already received a huge interest from the running community. The run starts in Bristol, the vibrant city of Bridges, Brunel and Banksy, through the stunning South Gloucestershire countryside, ending victoriously in the elegant Roman Spa City of Bath. The event takes place 6 weeks after the Bristol Half Marathon, encouraging runners to take on their next challenge whilst also allowing the marathon runner a perfect training race. With a long term vision to create multiple events across a weekend festival of activities this event is set to become one of the UK’s biggest and best loved running events which has a charitable focus but is commercially successful, sustainable and celebrated by the local communities.

Run for People against Poverty and not only will you have the chance to take part in the first ever city to city UK Marathon, but you will be raising money for impoverished and vulnerable children and families here in the UK and overseas.
