Throughout this training, Alex will explore the national challenges that affect children’s writing.

Alex will discuss the barriers to pupils becoming successful writers and share evidence-informed solutions.

• Transforming transcription: including securing spelling and improving handwriting.

• Building brilliant sentences: why we need more sentence level practice, along with a host of practical approaches.

• Editing extended writing: why we need to enhance practical approaches to editing, revising and planning writing.
