English Hub Showcase Event 3

Aimed at: Headteachers, Senior Leaders and Reading or Phonics Leaders.

During our Showcase Event, you will have the opportunity to:

• Find out about the aims of the DfE English Hubs and their intended impact;
• Observe phonics lessons and reflect upon the implementation of a Systematic Synthetic Phonics programme;
• Hear from our English Hub Lead, Lead Hub School Reading Lead and an Early Language Specialist;
• Explore best practice and practical strategies for improving the Reading for Pleasure culture in your school;
• Explore a range of appropriate resources that could be used to promote and support Early Reading, Early Language and Reading for Pleasure in your school;
• Reflect upon your own school practice and prepare an Action Plan, with the support from the English Hub team;
• Apply for funding to support the identified development areas for resourcing within your school;
• Apply for intensive support from our English Hub.
