KS3 Strengthening Decoding Through Intervention and Teaching

This training supports secondary teachers and leaders to accurately identify phonics and decoding gaps in struggling readers, use assessment information to match pupils to the most appropriate targeted intervention, and effectively track progress over time. The course also explores practical classroom adaptations and whole-school approaches to supporting decoding difficulties, irrespective of the systematic synthetic phonics programme being used within school.
