Leading Phonics in Early Years and KS1
This training aims to provide delegates with opportunities
to network, share best practice, and focus on aspects from a leadership
perspective. Delegates will be able to participate in professional
conversations around their initial assessments and priorities for leadership
and monitoring.
This training session will provide Phonics Leaders with the
opportunity to:
• explore how to effectively carry out your role as Phonics/Reading
Leader;
• explore ways to effectively monitor phonics lessons and
analyse data;
• explore effective assessment processes to maximise progress;
• collaborate with other Phonics Leaders;
• explore effective ways to provide CPD for phonics teachers
to build an ‘expert team of Phonics Teachers’;
• receive support and
guidance from a DfE trained Literacy Specialist;
• reflect upon your own practice as Phonics/Reading Leader
and identify next steps.
